Lars Schumacher 

Bio:
Lars Schumacher (born 1971 in Burgwedel, Germany) is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Hanover region germany, known for his conceptual work in photography, video, and social sculpture.
His artistic journey began in the 1980s with socially engaged youth media projects, including documentary films that gained international attention. Schumacher’s practice is deeply rooted in participation, visual communication, and the intersection of art and society.
He co-founded the regional television initiative “OKOK TELEVISION” and has been actively involved in Fluxus-inspired exhibitions and interdisciplinary networks. His works span media consulting, cultural education, and experimental formats, often exploring themes of identity, memory, and transformation. Schumacher’s pieces have been exhibited internationally and are part of several
collections. Notable recognitions include awards from the University of Tyumen (Russia) and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Tekirdag (Turkey).
In addition to his graphic and sculptural work, Schumacher regularly curates and exhibits at the Kunst & Musik Etage Hannover. His ongoing engagement with miniature art biennales and digital platforms reflects a commitment to evolving artistic dialogue across borders and disciplines.
